Dear Fellow Storyteller,
Welcome to What U Talking Bout Family — a space born from heartbeats, bedtime reflections, school drop-off monologues, and moments of self-doubt and deep joy. It is here that stories from diverse families gather, sip tea together, nod their heads knowingly, and create ripples in a vast ocean of parenting voices.
Founded by the intentional and ever-curious Zayric Droshar, our mission stretches beyond anecdotes. We’re stringing together a living, breathing mosaic of modern parenthood — where you don’t have to choose between love and learning, between asking the hard questions and sharing a laugh at a toddler’s logic. We hope to build a place of reflection, honesty, vulnerability… and yes, growth. Always growth.
And That’s Why We’re Writing to You
We believe every parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, sitter, educator — every person — carries a lesson worth offering. Maybe you’ve survived a wild twin tantrum and found light in it. Maybe your family is evolving and you’re giving your child language for who they are. Perhaps you’re navigating grief, joy, co-parenting, or first words — and a quiet part of you said, “Someone else should know this moment exists.”
Well, we want to hear it. And so does our growing village.
What Makes a Fit for Our Community?
Your voice. You don’t need to be a “parenting expert” — whatever that means. But do speak clearly. Do be honest. Do let your heart guide your pen. On our walls you’ll find:
- Spotlight family stories that hold joy and challenge in the same breath
- Family dynamics that stretch beyond ‘the norm’ — blended families, chosen families, distant families trying to get closer
- Child development insights without judgment or complication
- Conversations around modern parenting — technology, screens, gender topics, identity, and where it all meets home
- Everyday wisdom, big or small — like the kind you find in our Parenting Hacks archive
